My Daily Photo Walk: Blackwater Refuge(Click any photo to enlarge; hover mouse over photo for caption.) I've never had a disappointing day at Blackwater Refuge near Cambridge, MD. On foggy and drizzly days, I have come away with some of my best and favorite photos, and today was no exception. Yes, I took a bunch that were too far away or out of focus, but overall, I am pleased with the shots I got today.
I am with friends Norma and Sally on our way to Chincoteague. The weather is disappointing, but the birds don't care. Today we saw white pelicans and swans (too far away for good pix, even with 500mm lens), turkey vultures, Canada geese, great blue herons, mallards, and eagles. The sky was flat white and the air was damp and chilly, but we made the best of it.
Enjoy my pix!
