"Wings of Hope" is my effort to raise some funds for disaster relief using my butterfly photos. I am offering them at $10 each, and all profits after expenses will go to All Hands Volunteers. I selected this organization after meeting a man on the last flight I took, who works with this organization. He was flying to St. Louis to deal with the aftermath of flooding in that area earlier in the spring. All Hands Volunteers has the highest possible rating given by various organizations that rank disaster relief charities.
To keep profits high and expenses low, I will be fulfilling these orders myself. All 8x10" prints are $10 each. If you need prints to be mailed, add $5; multiple prints can go into one envelope, so three prints mailed would be $35. Prints can be delivered or picked up locally in Maryland and surrounding areas. Email me, and we can work out the details. Email: [email protected]
As profit is received, I will make donations to All Hands Volunteers. Currently, without mailing costs, each $10.00 print will net $8.10, which will be donated in full. I plan to keep everyone updated as to the amount that this effort has raised. Normally, an 8x10 print through my website is $50, but these prints are offered at a special price.
It's heartbreaking to see what the residents of Texas are enduring. This is my small effort to make a difference with my photography -- and hopefully to bring you some joy, too!
Click any photo to be taken to the area to purchase. If you prefer to do "cash and carry," just email me (see address above) and we'll work out the details.
Summer Beauty: The simplicity of this image is pleasing to the eye.
In Face of Adversity: Even though its wings are broken, one of these butterflies still flies.
Monarch and Thistle: Lovely monarchs are the kings of butterflies.
Monarch and Goldenrod: Monarchs feast on these flowers before their long flight to Mexico.
Monarch and Thistle II: The goldenrod in the background complements the colors in this image so well.
Wings of Beauty: This black swallowtail is posed so well on the purple thistle.
We Can Share: A swallowtail and a bumblebee don't mind sharing this purple thistle.
